Announcements:

World Earth Day photo contest in our club: submit your photos to Robert Bull showing what you are doing for Earth Day by the deadline of April 26th. A gift card will be awarded to the winner.

Our club will be involved with the Coral Reef Foundation in the Keys and will be doing a restoration project on May 7th in the Keys. SOLD OUT!

Our club will also be participating with the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science in May/June in a Coral Reef Restoration Project to plant corals, develop a coral tree, and work with the scientists. Details will follow at a future time.

Robert Bull reminded us of ESRAG, a Rotarian ecological group, which we can join for $30, and of ESMAG, our club’s ecological group, which you can join for free.

On May 14th, there will be another tree planting taking place on Key Biscayne in Crandon Park. Our club will be planting 200 trees. In addition, the Rotary Club of Miami Brickell will be planting the same number of trees. We are reaching out to other clubs in the District.
Speaker

Astrid Mota, who manages the Paramount Miami World Trade Center condominium in downtown Miami, showcased the condominium and its amenities. It has 570 units and is 60 stories high. The Miami World Center has over 25 acres of mixed development.

Steve Dutton for his upcoming cruise starting in Venice, Italy, and for the appreciation of our speaker;
Marcia Brod for her upcoming family seder and for her 48th wedding anniversary;
Robin Shelley for the District Assembly at Marlins Park. He looks forward to the District Conference taking place May 5 through May 8 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando;
Phil Seipp for a donation to our Thomas Brown McClelland Trust from a doctor and former TBM recipient. Phil announced that for future payments to the club by Zelle, use admin@miamirotary.org. Do not use Phil’s phone number for Zelle payments;
Noreen Timoney for Robert Bull’s and Phil Seipp’s great presentations at the Rotary District Assembly; for her granddaughter’s broken arm which is on the mend; and she is looking forward to Baynanza.
