DISTRICT ASSEMBLY – Randy Lichtman announced details: Saturday
April 16th at Marlins Park 10.30-3pm.
Many speakers include several from our club – followed by the baseball game.
DISTRICT CONFERENCE: at Rosen Plaza Hotel, Orlando – May 5-8th
Robin Shelley will be inducted into the Charter class of District 6990 Hall of Fame.
BAYNANZA - April 23rd. Sign up at various locations – contact Robert Bull.
CORAL REEF PROJECT: Two separate projects. One on Key Biscayne and one in the Keys. The dates tba. Sign up required as spots are limited.
YARD SALE at Diane Landsberg’s home on Saturday, April 30th. Prep date will be mid-week
COLLECTING FOOD FOR DONATIONS: - Bring to the meetings.
TREE PLANTING – Saturday, May 14th – Key Biscayne
President asked Members to provide their ideas and input and help us provide the best value for your membership and to help our Club achieve our goals. Providing Value has been an ongoing theme for President Noreen
VISITORS & GUESTS
President Noreen introduced the following:
SAURAY BHATTACHARTA - visiting from the Rotary club of Serampore. Also did a flag exchange.
ERICK MESADIEM – Son of Renel Noel
LOIS RANDALL – Guest of Linda Singer
BRIGITTE & MICHAEL COFFNE – Originally from Paris, now residents in Miami. Potential members.
DENNIS COLTAGIRONE – District Chief of staff for current District Governor and a future District Governor 2024 – 2025.
President Noreen talked about TBM and explained to new members and visitors the origins of the scholarship fund donated by Thomas B. McClelland and what a difference these scholarships make. She also discussed the wonderful experience is for all those interviewing these medical students. She thanked Phil and Diane for all their hard work. Over 60 students were interviewed this year, and some were still being interviewed on Zoom.
President Noreen then introduced President Elect BRIAN TSCHIRHART to the meeting. She held a question-and-answer session which enabled members to learn more about the incoming President for Rotary year 2022 - 2023. Brian has been a member of Rotary for over 40 years and joined the Miami Rotary club in 1979. He has semi-retired from his dental practice so that he will be able to devote more time to his Presidency. Apart from his successful practice both in Miami and Key Largo. He also has gone to various overseas countries where he was able to help underprivileged people, such as Syrian refugees and many others for whom dental treatment was almost nonexistent.
He also said that the PETS (President Elect Training) in Orlando had been a great experience and was looking forward to his presidency. He congratulated President Noreen on her accomplishments and thanked her for her dedication and for her assistance in helping him get ready for his term.

President Noreen gave two inspirational quotes.

President Noreen thanked everyone for attending. She thanked all working Rotarians at the meeting and all guests both in person and online.
