President Phil Seipp called the meeting to order. Jay Almeida gave an invocation and Linda Singer led those gathered in the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag.

Diane Stieber is a guest of Tina Moore. She has homes in both Miami and Lancaster PA, but enjoys Miami a lot because of its accessibility to public transportation for the disabled;
Angela Deggs is a guest and co-worker of Scott Richey. She has been with Northern Trust for 21 years;
Jaime Tobin joins us again and will soon become a member. She is Director of Reservations with Ildar Ventures;
Cameron Sisser is Vice President of External Relations for the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind. He joined us today to learn more about Rotary.
Happy $$$$$$$$$$$$$ were collected by Robert Bull. Funds collected will be contributed to TBM in hopes that today’s collection will bring donations, in addition to Give Miami Day funds, to $5,000:
Robert Bull shared that his children spent Thanksgiving all over the world and on Monday he will be traveling himself to London;
Linda Singer spent Thanksgiving at the Military Service Lounge at MIA and then spent Friday at the home of Marcia Brod for a full Thanksgiving meal;
Marcia Brod was happy to have hosted another joyful Thanksgiving and loved having family and friends visiting. She also was pleased to share another TBM newsletter that has been distributed;
Randy Lichtman was thrilled that his son Eddie is now engaged. There will also be a Symphonic Band concert on December 12 – details to follow;
Dave Skinner thanked Marcia Brod for sharing Thanksgiving with him and he is also grateful that hurricane season is officially over;
Scott Richey was glad that Angela Deggs joined us for lunch today. She will be helping with TBM once the transfer of the account is made from Wells Fargo. He also thanked Diane Landsberg for helping his wife Karla with her magazine;
Tim Ryan has returned from a trip to the Middle East. The flight home took a long 24 hours. His travels included seeing camels, a private museum of 600 cars and the tallest building in the world;
Renel Noel is now officially a senior – having turned 65 this week. He also shared the hot social media sensation of the Chainsaw Nun – and compared her to the “get it done” Rotarian Diane Landsberg;
Oliver Ruiz enjoyed the food, family and friends that came with Thanksgiving. He looked forward to today’s presentation about the Orange Bowl and shared that he will be a guest speaker at an Art Basel event at the Art Law Conference;
Arlene Terrinoni was back from California where she scared the daylights out of visitors to the house on Halloween. She is off traveling again on Wednesday – hardly had enough time to wash her clothes and repack;
Diane Landsberg enjoyed all 35 people who came (and didn’t want to leave) for Thanksgiving. She also encouraged everyone to check out the latest TBM newsletter;
Norby Rudel will be playing again next Wednesday at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and was glad that his friend in Santa Rosa, who had lost his home to the last fire, has resettled in Geyserville preparing to rebuild;
Gregory Herman-Giddens was happy to be in Miami on a Thursday and to be at Rotary;
Shirley Pardon participated in Thanksgiving and looking forward to her daughter coming to visit;
Tina Moore was sad that a dear friend is ill, but she is so thankful that she got to spend some quality time with him to reminisce. Her daughter and family will be arriving for Christmas;
Phil Seipp added up the Happy $ donated today and announced that together with our Give Miami Day donations, we have surpassed our $5000 goal for TBM.

The District is raising funds by selling chances to the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop;
The Club Holiday Party will be held on Saturday, December 16. Come shop for bargains for EREY credit to Rotary International;
NO LUNCH MEETING DECEMBER 7, instead we will meet at the Miami Police Benevolent Association, 2300 NW 14th Street from 6-8:30pm. The 50th Annual Griffitts Award to the City of Miami Police Officer of the Year will be presented.

Edmound Elzy is Director, Ticket Sales & Services for the Orange Bowl Committee. The Committee is a nonprofit sports organization that promotes and serves South Florida;
Their vision is to promote championship sporting events, related premier entertainment, and other year-round activities to inspire youth, engage the community, and enhance the South Florida economy;

Newer member Gregory Herman-Giddens did not draw the lucky ace of spades, but did earn $25 for his EREY. Thirty-six cards remain in the deck as the new 50/50 pot continues to build.
