President Norby opened the meeting with a moment of silence to thank and honor all that are providing a service to everyone affected by this crisis.
Everyone was then asked to stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
We experienced a few minor glitches with the technology, but it all worked out in the end. It will get easier each week. A survey was sent out on Friday to ask for feedback in order to improve. Please check your mailbox and take 30 seconds to do the survey! Lord knows, we have the time!

It was nice to see several members wearing their Rotary shirts.
The nine Team leaders spoke about a few members that they have experienced difficulty in reaching. We want to ensure that communication is frequent and ongoing. An updated contact list will be sent out again and everyone is encouraged to call, email or text your fellow members.
DG Ray virtually presented Linda Singer & Dave Skinnerwith a 'Major Donor Award' and pins from Rotary International Foundation. Many know of Linda and Dave's generosity, and we all are pleased to acknowledge this. When we return to our regular meetings, we will present the plaque in person.
We have been in touch with the Miami Yacht Club to check-up on them and look forward to the day that we will return. Everything is good at the moment.

Steve Dutton and Norby are working with 5 Rotaract FIU Medical School students along with Dr. Gregory Schneider at FIU to put together a response to the homeless crisis in Miami.
Several members mentioned the importance of wearing a facemask whenever venturing out to a public place for necessary items or services. Diane has a few dozen white, cotton, cloth napkins that were donated. A facemask can be easily made and are available to be picked up. Jay requested, again, for members to take a picture of yourself wearing a facemask (they can be funny).Please take a photo and send to Jay.

Marcia Brod stated that the farms in Homestead are giving away cases of fruits & vegetables for a small fee. It will be loaded into the trunk of your car. Please call Marcia for more information
Amelia Bonilla, Youth Services Chair, was happy to announce that the FIU Rotaract Club is organizing an online tutoring program for the Interact Club students at Miami Senior High School.
Jay, 'Mr. Spielberg', Almeida continues to post information, resources, and inspiration on every platform of social media.
Dave Skinner updated our website at www.miamirotary.org. Diane is emailing daily posts she thinks you will enjoy. Angel Rodriquez wrote, 'Thank you for your ongoing, consistent, never ending motivational and informative texts and emails.'
...the good humor award goes to...
Phil Seipp, who continues to present his own special sense of humor. First for apologizing for not standing for the pledge of allegiance because he wasn’t wearing any pants. And second, with his chart of how our foundation account curved upwards, and now has sharply crashed down. Big chuckle.
