Zoom Meeting, Thursday, May 14th

President Norby opened the meeting at 12:30pm and gave a warm welcome to everyone. We had a total of 34 members and 6 guests. We shared a moment of silence to honor those serving and our first responders.

Announcements:
• The Rotary International convention will be offered online. It is free. Registration for any individual sessions is required. Detailed information will follow.
• Treasurer Phil thanked those who have submitted their renewal forms, and especially those who already sent a check for the subsidized dues for 2020-2021.
• Community Service Chair, Robert Bull, thanked those who donated money for the FIU Medical School fundraiser to provide meals to identified families and to purchase food for Feed Miami.
• Our Youth Service’s Chair, Amelia Bonilla stated that her committee has completed the scoring of the Interact 4-Way Test scholarship essays. The three winners will be notified and scheduled to read their essays at one of our Zoom meetings.
Our Speaker - Debra Lowe - Senior Major Gifts Officer, Zone 34. The Rotary Foundation
Past President Robin Shelley introduced our speaker, Debra Lowe. She thanked everyone for the opportunity to speak about the RI Foundation and her presentation was very well versed and informative. Her power point deck is available for those of you that would like to have the information that Debra presented. Please contact President Norby for the information.
We recited the 4-way test and the meeting was adjourned.
